on the 2nd day of cny, i went visiting with a special guest, that is my dear meibao. haha good for her cause she got so many more ang paos zzz. after which before i went to my aunt's place for dinner we went to watch 长江7号 cause she said kung fu dunk isnt nice. (on a seperate note, ive been told "ah long pte ltd" is quite a fine movie to watch despite the screwed up ratings. perhaps its the globalisation of reporters?)

*spoiler alert*
长江7号 is an atypical mo-lei-tau comedy by stephen chow and is something worth the watch no matter what kind of rating it gets. its about a boy (whos actually played by a girl, i was wrong LOL) and his darn poor father who decides to slog it out to send the son to an elite (uncaring face) private school while others usually settle for public schools.they live in a half torn down house thats surrounded by piles of trash, where e dad picks up old school shoes and such for the kid. one fine day after the kid wanted some crappy toy, dad picks up some funny ball like thing and gives it to kid. it turns out to be some space dog of sorts, and decides to call it 长江7号. nonsense slapstick humour ensues and at the middle of the story, dad dies from a freak accident at work (safety is one of SAF's core values) and whilst trying to revive dad, CJ7 runs out of batt and "dies" and turns into a small doll complete with X_X eyes. at the end while enjoying the new school term the kid finds e spaceship that gave it 长江7号 and it ends with a whole army of e same space dog with lots of different designs running towards it.

though its a comedy, it really puts out the feeling of having someone very close to you suddenly taken away, seemingly forever (when the dad died). not to mention the kind of loyalty and love that the space dog gave to the kid (to the point it ran out of batt lol) makes you want to give the same to the people you love.. (not the process of reviving him/her zzz) it kinda made me weep i admit, hence any movie that can make me do that when its supposed to (unlike movies like Alone, which made me sleep) is a success and worth all the stars people give it.
*end of spoiler*

and darn it MS is like, dead during CNY. then again singapore should appreciate service sectors more, and we ( i used to be one b4 i changed master [SAF] ) deserve a break at these kinda festivities. unlike my poor friends who were in camp taking long walks lol =x

and whats a date without camwhoring! too bad my cam ran out of batt too (LOL) in the middle of the session.
(photos will be added later. damn blogger's uploading system)
